GLOBAL CONNECTIONS RESORT EMPLOYEES HELP CLEAN DAYTONA BEACH

Daytona Beach, FL – June 18, 2010 – Employees and vendors from Sea Shells Beach Club in Daytona Beach, Florida, celebrated Earth Day recently by participating in a beach cleanup near their resort, which is owned and managed by Global Connections, Inc.® (GCI).

Emily Ceruzzi, General Manager of the 38-unit Sea Shells Beach Club, organized the event and mapped out a route for the cleanup, starting on the beach from the resort’s oceanfront entry. Along the two-mile round trip area, guests and employees picked up trash found along the way. Following the beach clean up, the resort provided a cook-out to everyone who participated.

“There isn’t a resort or an attraction that man could ever build that will even come close to the natural beauty of our resort’s primary amenity … the beach,” said Ceruzzi. “If we don’t take the time to take care of it ourselves, we run the risk of losing the beach forever. Earth Day was the perfect opportunity to bring environmental awareness to people everywhere and it made sense for us to do our part.”

In addition to about a dozen employees who participated, resort vendors also joined in the volunteer cleanup. Volunteers included GC Contractor Services, LLC; Scott and Patty Milliron of isXperia.com; and local environmentalist Maria Kneger.

The group of volunteers collected over 20 bags of garbage that had been left on the beach and then separated the refuse to turn in to the local recycling center.
