March 1, 2013 – Daytona Beach, FL – Global Connections, Inc. (GCI) and its Sea Shells Beach Club resort has received recognition by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) in the Resort Design Refurbishment Division of the 2013 ARDA Awards. The 37-unit boutique oceanfront resort is located in Daytona Beach, FL and is owned and managed by GCI.

The ARDA Awards Program recognizes the achievements and overall professional excellence of industry individual companies and individuals. GCI is proud to be recognized as a finalist for its renovation and refurbishment of Sea Shells Beach Club. The finalists for this category will be judged on the scope of the work, the design budget, concept and theme as well as the innovative use of materials. The winner will be announced at the 2013 ARDA Awards Gala on April 10, 2013 at the ARDA World convention being held in Hollywood, FL.

Renovation of Sea Shells Beach Club included total new furnishings, carpeting, fixtures, lighting and accessories as well as new granite countertops and tile flooring in all kitchens, flat screen TV’s in living rooms and bedrooms for 14 one- and two-bedroom oceanfront and ocean view units. The new design concept for the resort incorporates an airy “south beach” contemporary vibe with a color palette of cool, breezy turquoise and cream hues and rich warm colors in the tile and wood furnishings.
